WHATS A SUBWOOFER!?!?!?
still not sure what I want to do...

I have two DD9510's, which I tried in the car the other day, and they really werent that impressive...

the other option is to get maybe 4 or 6 Pioneer 306C's, and make a 4th order bandpass enclosure vented through the parcel shelf, which I know WILL be louder...

DD Z1, off a 230aH deep cycle, SLA battery (which I dont have yet) hopefully two runs of 0ga power cable to a high output alternator //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

lovely... :p

like it's said many times...when someone is talking about some of your favorite components in your system, and they say they are shit and they sound like ***... what they really mean is my install sucks

no... the subs are quite inefficient, and they have a heap of motor noise...

thats not something you can argue about, just listen to them and you'll know both these things... :s

some people like to argue with facts? wtf?

like I said, they are inefficient, thanks to their extremely stiff spiders and surround, and also have heaps of air noise from the motor, thanks to the stupid little vents around the magnet...

inefficient?? far from it

extremely inefficient woofers, with heaps of motor noise?
how could you be impressed by them!?!?!

motor noise, or you could hear the woofer moving? if so then you really didnt have anywhere near the power you should, or box design is way off.

I could hear a heap of air noise, from the stupid designed basket... thats what I could hear.

If those are facts, shouldnt you have known that before you bought them?

So its really your fault any way you look at it, huh?

lol you just ****. learn how to build a box. fool.
I;m sorry, maybe you're too stupid to work it out?

but... the efficiency of the woofer has nothing to do with the enclosure!!!

I am saying, that the woofers are inefficient!!!! whats that got to do with the box? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

it probably has biggest role int he effienciency of the woofer on the install side.

what are you talking about?

the woofers are inefficient, end of story, you can put them in an enclosure that will somewhat boost the efficiency, but the woofers are still going to be inefficient!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

so you are telling me that the 9500s will perform exactly the same in a ported box, sealed box, and bandpass box? you need to build the enclosure to suit the woofer.

ok, maybe you're a little slow....

I never mentioned the enclosure here, I said, that the woofers are inefficient, which they are!!!! some of the most inefficient woofers on the market....

that doesn't mean you cant put them in an enclosure that will increase efficiency, generally, a folded horn can boost any woofers efficiency to over 100dB 1w/1m, but that doesn't make the WOOFER anymore efficient...
