So, i have a kenwood amp, and a 10" pioneer premier shallow mount sub, and recently i have had some problems.

So, it stopped working, and i didnt mess with it for a while, and finally got around to looking at it. turns out both of my fuses(the one in the engine bay and the one on my amp) were blown, so i replaced both, and now i got a new problem.

When i turn on my sub it just kind of has a shallow rattle, like there is something loose. Hard to explain, so i took a video, but you cant really hear in the video. It physically looks fine, it just sound so bad. I dont know what it could be, and the local car audio shop is closed right now. I might take it somewhere a little farther away, but wanted to get your guys opinions on this.

hmm sounds like the little round things in your amp poped up. This happend to me with 2 really nice 10s. I was soooo bumed. so I baught two 12s with a 1000 watt amp, and hooked the 12s to my amp, and same sound. switched amps and used my tens again yay. Its a crackle sound in your sub while it moves right? Push on the sub in the center with your hand and listen for scratching noises. Dont push the sub in from the side of the cone, that will cause a scratchin noise which is normal when you push it on the side.

yeah its kind of a crackle. It dosent like make the normal noise plus bad noise, just a bad noise.

I have no idea what your talking about though. So you think it is my amp?

Ill have to try the pushing thing tomorrow.
