Sub smells like plastic smell.

Ive done that a few times when i notice it, i feel the cone all over, and i feel the box all over, nothing at all hot, pretty much exactly the same as rest of the car.

then I'd look elsewhere, not the sub.

I think today ill just drive home with the sub rcas disconnected so it doesnt move at all, and see if the smell is still there by the time i get home.

there ya go....isolate the issue...disconnect the speaker leads, keep the RCA's to power the amp on.
