Sub quit playing while driving...help

I wired my car up today to put in my sub and amp. Everything was going good till I decided to turn the sub up a little more on my head unit. It sounded really good then the sub shut off. The amp is still turning on but Im not sure what happened. Nothing at all is coming out of the sub. any suggestions?

JL audio 10w3 dvc dual 2ohm PPI art 600.2 I think my amp ate my sub im not sure though

wired so it was a 4ohm load bridged

4 ohms bridged = 1200rms @4ohms?

you sub is rated 500rms, 1kw peak.

If you slammed it hard its first round, you probly blew it

if you had a sub that over powered you should have noticed....unless you've never heard a stereo before?

Does amp throw a protect light?

Take out the sub and look at it, could be as simple as a loose connection

The art 600.2 does 600 rms @ 4ohm bridged, not 1200

Use a multimeter to check the output on the amp.
