can you put any sub into a prefab bandpas box?

does the gauge wire going from the speaker terminal to the subinpact the subs preformance? i have 12 gauge from amp to terminal and it looks lik a smaller gauge from the terminal to the sub? and would changing this to 12 gauge make a noticable diffrence? thanks

It can if you were using an extremely small guage

I doubt the difference would be noticeable. Though it's always best to use proper guage wire. If the smaller wire is still sufficient for the amount of power you are running, then it doesn't matter. If it's too small, it would be worth the minute time and money investment to switch it out.

Yes, you CAN! However, it would sound very bad, becuase bandpass boxes are built custom to driver specs, which in most cases still sound bad. It could and might sound good. it could, in extreme situations, freak up your sub, at higher power levels. It could sound good as hell as well. The only way to know for sure is to try it and see.
