Sub positioning in jeep?!?!?!

In a couple of weeks I'll be receiving a re mt 18, I need help figuring out the best sub facing and port facing, I was told sub firing up and ports to the rear, I have a 03 jeep liberty, I only wanna use the very back. thanks guys

Sub Up Port Back is generally favored for SUV's. It's what I do in my jeep as well.

i have an 07 liberty, same body style. ive run everything from 8's to 18's in it. put the sub facing up and use a 9.5" - 10" aeroport firing to the drivers side for a single 18. my boxes were 19" deep so they kind of sat on the plastic trim in the trunk,

Sub up port back IF you can fit it. You may have to do sub up and port up to get proper airspace.

How loud were you able to get the single 18 to?

It takes work to get to a 150.

Depends if your primary goal is to just hit a 150, or if you're looking for a musical box that'll reach 150. Either way, it probably won't come easy.

yeah its going to be even harder if your wanting a musical box that will play good daily. would be easier if you are just shooting spl to meter a 150 and tune high but itll be tougher if you want it good for daily

I probably would just want it to meter and not be a daily driver at 150, ima deforest put two batteries in the back and maybe do an amp tray and run two amps on it but all of that in the small space won't be easy hmm, well thanks guys any other input would be awesome

well if your just wanting it to compete and for spl then the box will prolly be a little smaller so thatll save you some room you should be able to get it to fit.

In my '05 liberty I found that sub back port back sounded the best in terms of SQ. Sub up port back was louder by a little bit. Sub up port back is kind of tricky to do because of such limited depth to work with. Next best option is to do sub up port out the drivers side like someone already mentioned.
