sub position

i would think that it would be better if u gaveit some space, so that the subwoofers will have more room for the low notes to bounce off the trunk and come back to u in the front. ive heard it with the subs right up on the trunk in my friends jeep, and theres not enough air space for it to sound good.

that crisscross area would be a mesh grate that would id put overtop if i needed to haul cargo...see any problems with this design?

 
go to sound advice or somewhere else where they do car audio, and ask them what they would do for the best sound quality. then just do it yourself.

 
Dude, go to a good shop and pay the money and tell them you needs . stop messing with ideas on here.

If you need to put crap on the sub boxes then go with smaller subs, or do a bandpass type enclouser. look around for better ideas dude.
