MECA WORLD FINALS....

The Mass Destruction blazer @ MECA World Finals was the loudest vehicle @ show out 120 competitor qualifiers with a first place 164.8dB SPL score, with Sidewinder12's in a sealed box with 4 Autotek4000.1's (400rms each sub).

The Blazer also now holds the with a reality score World Record of 156dB @ the headrest.

Still has Drive-By scores to come....

Any other world final updates on any other sub's performance at finals?

All my friend ever talk about is how loud his sidewinders are gonna be, i wanna hear for myself but he was always sayin "they did a 147 at 60hz" im like so your gonna burp 60hz test tones all day, i am always telling him there are too many variables than just getting that sub and setting a loud score? I dunno thats a pretty loud score though either way.....

only 400 watts a sub?

sidewinder=new type r..
Nah...I've tested the sidewinders quite a bit and in different installs, and the sidewinder and typer are for different uses but the sidewinder's are very pratical for people with the typical 500-800watt systems over type r's. it's hard to beat them for that power range. Other wise the type r can take more power, but most times needs it to be comparable.

I'd only take a type r over a sidewinder if it was strictly for comp and i had over 1400-1500rms, but that's because i'm more biased toward their musical sound.

That's why I was thinking it had to be a massive amount of subs. Considering this was SEALED too...
There were 24 sidewinders with a Autotek4000 / 6 subs. I'm not sure what the Autotek's do "real power" @ 16v. It might have been more than 400 because he turned the truck on this time. The run @ KY state finals he actually did the 160.0 with the truck off so it was about 400rms each.
