Sub off beat? o_O

it's not an enclosure size issue, its caused by the sub not playing in phase with the front speakers.

It's because your sub is so far back compared to the front ones. Try reversing the polarity on the front speakers.

I finally got to check it today, and polarity is all good, even had my friend double check for me. in the past days this is what ive noticed.

-sub is actually off beat not just sounding behind, i folded down the seats and stuck my head in and used my foot to feel the vibration from the sub, the vibrations hit late.

-on the majority of the songs, spot on. others not so good

-i thought maybe the dub step bass was too fast and the sub could not recover at such a high volume, turned it down, same exact thing as sub on blast, and also noticed it with regular songs that have a constant bass quarter note hit.

-i know its not the song, because i listen to the same exact file on my computer, and my computer sub is fine. but why does this only happen on certain songs in the car?

also how do i check/adjust phase? is it an option on the amp? if so i dont see any such dial/adjustment

I have the same issue. I have my subs wired into a bose system (Cadillac CTS) with Nav. The phasing is correct but timing is the issue. There re different DSP settings on the bose head. Anything other than "normal" causes the sub to hit late. This is really noticeable on fast timing songs. I took back to the installer at ABT in Chicago and he couldn't figure it out. Why oh why do these auto manufactures put Bose system in their cars!

I also installed into my factory BOSE system...maybe its them that's messing this all up :\

do you guys have any other ideas? this only happens with some songs, its on beat with my computer speakers and sub, but in the car its off on the same song.
