Sub off beat? o_O

So i just installed my sub and the bass hits off beat. Here is my set up:

Rocksford Fosgate H3 10in sub 400 watt max at 4 ohms

Crunch 2 channel amp 800 WATT max, bridged

8 gauge Interfire Wire kit

no name box 1X1X1

i searched up the sub and it says i should only go up to .75 cubic feet in the box, and mine is 1 cubic foot...so i was thinking there might not be enough pressure in the box to push the sub back into place and maybe thats why its not keeping up? what do you guys think?

No that isnt it, your box is probably about right after sub displacement... First thing you need to check is if the sub is out of phase... Then we need to know the settings on the amp and how its wired if that doesnt fix it...

Not that I've ever seen. If something needs .75 ^ ft of airspace, that's how much you give it, requiring a larger enclosure.
Oh..I guess I'm wrong then. I thought that the subwoofer displacement was already factored into the recommended airspace.

For example, if a sub calls for 1 cubic foot, that's how much you gave it. So instead, you'd actually want to give it 1 cube + whatever the subwoofer displaces?
Yes! Qt least, that's how I've always understood it and heard it accounted for. Hopefully someone can confirm our confusion :p
I have the same issue. I have my subs wired into a bose system (Cadillac CTS) with Nav. The phasing is correct but timing is the issue. There re different DSP settings on the bose head. Anything other than "normal" causes the sub to hit late. This is really noticeable on fast timing songs. I took back to the installer at ABT in Chicago and he couldn't figure it out. Why oh why do these auto manufactures put Bose system in their cars!

it's not an enclosure size issue, its caused by the sub not playing in phase with the front speakers.

It's because your sub is so far back compared to the front ones. Try reversing the polarity on the front speakers.
