Sub not putting out enough

Had a sub and amp installed the other day. When it was hooked up to my HU with the SW RCAs it wasn't putting out a lot of sound. When he took it out and plugged it into the Rear RCA on the HU it put out a lot more sound. Is my stereo busted or did he hook something up wrong. I have a JVC KW-HDR720.

Turn the sub volume up on the deck.

The HU isn't the problem, he needs to turn up the S/W level on the deck so it puts out the max voltage it's supposed to put out.

Lol, of course we tried that. Turned the sub on from the HU, and turned the sub level all the way to 8(Max).

It just doesn't work with the SW RCA.

Are there crossover settings on the headunit?

Does it only have front and rear outputs? (No sub channel output?)

No crossover on hu

It has the sub output. When it's in the sub rca it doesn't make enough sound.

Sounds like u need to reset gain with the sw setting On The head unit set to max, but don't mistake this for the bass eq

I've been into car audio for over 20 yrs and never heard of that brand. The price is catchy though $209.94 for a peak rating sub of 560w, lol. My advise is go get your money back and find way better stuff on here. If you have questions on

Installing they'res plenty of people on here who can walk ya thru it all.
