Sub makes popping noises?

Well, i just noticed that my new 12" aq hdc4 makes a popping noise on some songs. Its in a 12" pro box around 2.75 cu ft before displacement, tuned to around 40 hz and on an aq 2200 at .5 ohm. The sub is facing towards the cabin if that makes a difference. I had the aq hdc3 in that box before and I dont remember hearing those popping noises. Oh and the clipping light just barely flashes. So what could be making it do this? thanks

i dont work for aq. what it means is when a sub is overpushed passed the spiders capability the coil can rock and hit the pole.

you may just have a air leak check the screws holdin in the sub. if tight take the sub out and freeair and listen...

I have one screw that just keeps on spinning but other than that, the sub is nice and tight. I dont see how im over pushing it since it can handle 2000 watts rms and im giving it just that. Which the old hdc3 was only rated 1000 watts rms and I was giving it double that without any problems. Ill try taking out the sub and try the free air.
