Sub Installation in Ford F150 4 door

I'm looking to install a sub in my F150 4 door. However, I dont want to pay for a stealthbox. I'm also undecided on what kind of sub and amp to get. I'm fairly new to car audio, and any advice would be appreciated. Is there a way to build my own box, because I dont want to spend a lot. MY budget is around 300 for sub, box, and an amp. Thanks

Hmm...$300 for a sub stage is very doable.

What sort of music do you like to listen to - what do you want to get out of your system? I'm thinking mounting the amp under the seats, with a downfiring box (two 10's or a few 8's) would work well here.

they dont have enough room under the seat for two 10"s, a single 10 under the seat is doable.. behind the seat, two tens is no problem at all.

I listen to mostly rap and rock. I want to install the sub under the seats. I want quality bass, not just really loud. Thanks

oh, when i heard 4 door i wouldnt have thought it was an extended cab. besides the fact i think that a single 10 under the seat would work the best.
