sub impedance issue

I just received a hdc3 12" dual 2 and wired it down to 1 ohm.

The wires coming from the cone were very long maybe 1 1/2 feet long or more.

so i wired it using RF 8 gauge ofc, but when i check the ohm reading i got 1.5 ohms.

Ive never had it only drop half a ohm before so could this be due to the long wires?

I plan to un-wire it today and check impedance on each coil to make sure they read near 2 ohms.

Newwbie mistake :/... toched both pins and got .5 ohms resistance.. so sub fluctuates between 1-1.1 ohms.

Walmart :/ costed me 18$
No worries mate, that cheap meter will be good for just about everything else you need it for. I own a $200 Fluke meter (work paid for it not me) but still keep a couple cheap $5 harbor freight meters lying around just because they're handy to have when I don't want to get the fluke out.
