I actually love building downfiring console boxes.

It you need the height higher... and the internal volume for the subwoofer gets to the point where it's too big... just mkae a divider internally.

I've done cup holders, CB holder, Screens, HU's, Speakers, iPod holders, USB inputs, amps, and all types of shit installed or flush mounted into a console box. Simple square designs and full fiberglass contoured to the front/rear of the truck.

They're fun, and allow you to get creative. Make sure with the "legs" of the enclosure to allow 3-4" of clearance from the sub face to the floor...

anyways, anyone with an Avalanche know how to remove the middle seat in the front?

i found 2 bolts in the back and undid them but it didnt loosen anything. i cant find anything online about how to remove it either...

they way you are talking about this girl, i would say down firing would be the best way to go. if drunk people are riding in that vehicle and messing with everything, i would make sure nobody can mess with that sub.

i can already see her blaming you for any damage down the road for something her friends will do to it.

lol she wouldnt blame me, id just have to install something new. you have no idea how stupid these girls are..lets see in the past 3 weeks shes hit a pole, smashed her mirror off, broken off 2 body panels, dented the hood, dented the back bumper corner, burned the carpet, and trashed the inside.

ya..not to mention have them give you $800 for a sub install...of course her brother had 3 jl subs. 2 of 1 size and 1 of another. o but to keep that voltage up he ran 5 caps. when i talked to him and told him a single battery would do more he told me to get out of there before he beat my ***...
