Subs broke screws in half

Well the other day i was driving around and i hear a wierd noise coming from my subs, kinda like I blew them so i go back there and see both of my subs litterally jumping out of the box!!! My system consist of 2 12" FI BL's on an ia 20.1 and the box is similar to the one in my sig but with 3 4" PVC's instead of slot. Anyways come to find out my subs snapped every screw in half leaving half in the box and the top part still in the sub! Ive never seen anything like this and they deff. aren't cheap screws. But i upgraded to some heavy duty screws so hopefully these will hold up. Happened to me in January with a 15" RE MT. Had my sub back port up, needless to say the sub crashed to the floor of my trunk and is now blown.

Just something to keep in mind, some folks with subs facing forward in subwalls and such. Securing your subs and your enclosure is more important than you would think. A few years back I dispatched to wreck in which the driver of a crx hit a poll at 25-30 mph and was killed by the sub box that hit her from behind and broke her neck. With some of todays subwoofers in 50lb plus range this is a very scary thought.
