Sub for the girlfriend?

Ok well..the gf has been pestering me about a sub for her car(02 Impala SS) for quite a while now. Now that Im building my system(18" MT's etc) it's getting worse. I guess because I get all of the cool stuff? hehehe

Anyways...what would you guys recommend on a 'lower budget' system? We're not talking funky pups here..but I'm not gonna buy a $300 sub for her..since she only drives her car to work..we take my truck everywhere else.

It's going to be in a sealed box to conserve trunk space. Also..what amp would you use to power it?

how about a shiva? 12" SQ of goodness. or one of those cheap lil $37 MTX 8000's or whatever they are. tell her they are 250 retail. and get her a little profile amp for it... and some schoshe wiring.

itl cost you under 150 im sure.

get her Lanzar MAX 12's, believe me she won;t be disappointed with them. for only 85 bucks for 2 subs you can;t go wrong, and they are the perfect budget SQ/SPL subs money can get. Or you can get a MOFO lol.

30 bucks for a wiring kit from Knukonceptz...I'm going to use that, a Profile amp, and a 12" Type R for a buddy's install that I'm doing in his VW, should sound pretty good.
