Sub doesnt seem as loud as it should be...

Then again, a lot of rap songs and hip-hop actually have tones as beats or other parts of the song...If I didnt set it with a tone I could end up clipping when those tones come on during a song.

even though it's considered taboo on here try the LOUDNESS button and see if that helps. I had a Pio 2v HU and that was THE only way to get decent output from the sub and comps...

I'll see how it affects my pre-outs. I think the 2v pre-outs are doing me a great dis-service in this situation.

What I'll do is I'll play a tone and crank the gain until I hear clipping so I can understand and hear what clipping is. Then I'll play music and crank it until I hear that. Should be good.

that box sounds like a good box for the sub, what is the port size? i doubt it is box related, i've done a few for Type R's around here between 1.5 and 2.2 cubes always between 32-35hz and had good results and thats pretty close to your setup
