Thanks for the suggestion. Checked them out and don't look to bad. Honestly though, you think 2 of them would out perform 6 low power 12's. Seems like the advantage of all that cone area just wouldn't be comparable. But that's why I am here. To learn a thing or two and get loud in the end.

I've scored higher on the meter than 4 tens prob on a little more power with my 1 12 so why not with 2? Also the 6 12s will be sealed and 2 12s will be ported. If you want a lot of subs do 4 or 6 8s

I love seeing 4 or more subs working in unison. And I just wont go below a 12" driver. I've heard 4 10's pound very hard, but smaller woofers just aren't my thing.

I'm liking these xfl's though. Got me about 60-40 in favor of the 12's still.

If I was going with 2 drivers I'd like to go with 15's. What size enclosure and tuning would these xfls favor? I'd like to tune in the 28-32hz range.

So with 1800 rms would I be better suited for 1 15"? I'm really leaning towards these AB drivers now after seeing the price and checking out some vids of them.

And if it was a single 15, what we looking at for an enclosure now?

the ones on ebay are the old style too. The new ones don't use the 12 spoke basket. 3.5 cubes for the 15. Would get down on the 1800. I run my 12 on 2k

I would go with 2 12" American Bass Xfls! They are really good subs and can and will get loud off low power! AB xfls put up numbers man!
