sub cutting out

I was riding home from skoo today and my sub just cut out when i turned it up to like half way, i turned it back down then it came on again, it did it again like a couple minutes later when i ttried to turn it up to see what it wood do. i got home and started messing with it it went out but i dont think the red protection on the amp came on so what do you think? a couple days ago i took the sub out to look at something on it but i dont think i messed with the wires any, could they be vibrating loose?

sounds more like a connection at the amp...did you change the wiring on the subs possibly to send the wrong ohm load to the amp?

no, i didnt touch anything except i pulled it out of the box a couple days ago. i dont think any wires came unpluged from the sub, it sounds okay, could i tell if i unpluged a wire or if only 1 vc was working? i seemed to work okay just a minute ago and driving down the road a little ago. the only prob was it cutting out for like 3 secs this afternoon
