I have an Eclipse DVC 4 ohm sub that I got from a pawnshop as a freebie. If I hook it up to an amplifier, it plays very softy. If any bass occours, it causes the amp to go into protect mode. My multimeter pegs at like 2 ohms (it's analog and very old, so I really can't tell) it might be 0 ohms or essentially a fused coil... In my experience, the coil "pops" and shows no circuit, this one is "fused" and the coil no longer has any resistance.
Does this mean the sub is blown if it shows lower than normal impedance?
