I just put in a Sound Ordnance BP8T. It turns on. I cannot hear it when my speakers are on, because it is so quiet. I turned off my speakers and could just barely hear bass coming out of the sub.

I have toyed with all of the knobs. Yes the power and gnd are 8AWG.

Any ideas?

not sure of that sub, but if its a DVC are u properly wired..

if you are, check the sub with a 9volt battery

start with one thing at a time..

check sub..

then check wire to sub

check amp.

yada yada

Dude you need to hang out for a while longer before you start giving advice as you have no idea what you are talking about.

The OP bought a loaded sub from Crutchfield like this

OP - call crutchfield, something is wrong

actually i know exactly what i am talking about.. however as stated i didnt know the sub.. therefore it was a generalized statement.

I love it when people who see i have a small post count automatically assume im a noob.

someday ill post the **** ive done, the magazines im in.. but until then...

I post a generalized statement and this *** flames me..

yet on same post there's..

"Check the speaker wiring. Odds are you have a phasing issue. "

and

"Oh man. Need much more info. What HU? Did you set gains properly? Stop just turning knobs. What amp? What volume are you setting gains at? "

but from the pics, its an amplified enclosure.

So go flame the guy who said its speaker wiring..

or the guy who asked what amp..

or better yet shut the **** up..

my point is clear.. dont start a flame war with someone based on their post count..
Wtf... This has nothing to do with post counts .. You gave a him a completely retarted answer.. If its Dvc 2 check it's wired right blah blah it's a loaded enclosure it shouldn't be opened or tampered with.. Only as maybe a last resort .. So idk what ur gettin at

Dude, this isn't a flame war. Plus, he gave pretty much no actual information in his initial question. My first post had nothing to do with his post count and thinking he was a noob, but rather that he gave us pretty much nothing to work with, regardless of his status. To be honest, I didn't even look at his post count.

Yes, in general most people assume noobs to the site are noobs in general. It's a stereotype backed by trend. If you don't want to be labeled a noob, don't act like a noob. Don't get all pissy about nothing.
