Hey All - first of all thank you for all of your help! I need some help with a sub install on a 2012 honda civic. My other vehicle is a Jeep Patriot in which used to house 2 15" Kicker CVXs on a hifonics 1500. I have sinced rebuilt 2 boxes (one for each vehicle) and purchased another hifonics amp for the honda. My problem: The sub absolutely slams in the jeep patriot (lots of excursion), and barely moving or producing much bass in the civic. The Jeep Patriot came with the upgraded oem stereo (lol, i know) in which I used a high-to-low converter tapped off the powered oem sub in the rear. In the Honda, I tapped the high-to-low converter off the rear deck speakers. Is this my problem? Will tapping of the front door speakers fix this problem? I have triple checked my wiring to make sure polarity was correct, and checked voice coils on the sub itself to make sure nothing was faulty on the woofer.
**This is with the gain turned up all the way, and bass boost turned all the way down. It gains a bit of volume and excursion with the bass boost, but sq becomes horrible.
