Sub and Amp help

So i'm looking for some options in regards to a couple subs and a amp for them. These will be going into a 2008 dodge ram quad cab into a box under the rear seat. I'm planning on buying a pre-made box from fox acoustics, the options are either a 2 10" in a vented box, or 2 12" in a sealed box.

Sealed

Vented

What i'm looking for in the subs is a nice punchy sound, not the a rumble sound if that makes sense. I listen to metal and also top 40 stuff and almost everything in between. I'm not looking to spend a bunch on the subs don't really want to spend more than $150 per sub(less is better don't need the best subs around just good quality), and around $200 for the amp.

The Subs will be going in at the same time as new front components which are CTX65CS, and a Arc Amp. If this makes any differance in the sub choises.

Speakers

CTX65CS - Image Dynamics 6.5" Component Speaker System

Amp

FD 2200 - ARC Audio 2 Channel 370 Watt Amplifier

Thanks, i know it's a long post

I would go 12's sealed for what you are looking for. Porting will always give you more output on a certain frequency but will not give you the ability to play all frequencies well. most rock is not 36hz base.

there are quite a few subs that can be had for $150. the magnet diameter could be a concern though. I think the diamond D6's run in .8 sealed but I am not sure if the magnets are more than 6"

I ran into the same thing on our dodge. finding something that had good output, the right airspace requirement, wile having the right magnet diameter. I ended up with kicker subs comp VR's.

for amp I ended up with an MTX 800w d channel. plenty of power and cheap.

didnt realize you only have 6 inch width, then these would work beautiful in that sealed box, they are perfect size and meant for small sealed box with the matching ed nine.1
