I vote just run 6.5's in the front. Just find something that plays down into the 70's well. Just unplug the stock 6x9's in the back or have them run off of your headunit. And have the Sub in the back play everything lower than 70. Saves money. And i'm personally a big fan in front stage only. I prefer not having rear speakers. To me' date=' it hurts imaging.
Also, the focals are nice. But not ultra mid bass heavy. And very bright tweets.

Its all personal preference. And 6x9's will be able to add midbass to your system. Which is important for bass guitar, lower end guitar, and drums.

However, if you were to set the crossovers on your amps appropriately with some CDT or even RF 6.5's and an IDQ, i tinhk youd enjoy it as well

Its not that I really want/need rear fill, but I want whats going to sound best for not necessarily cheap but a decent price. I don't mind spending some money.

It's all for nothing if dude isn't going to properly deaden and seal his doors, though. I admittedly didn't read the entire thread, but so far I've read nothing about deadener...

I can vouch for the RF comps I linked. I own 4 pairs of them and they will surprise you when properly installed and given adequate power...

I read through it completely. So that is a very good thing to bring up. Frankly, getting some sound deadener and using it to seal and deaden your doors will VASTLY help midbass, cut down on roadnoise and distortion, and increase sound pressure and clarity. I personally would get some nice 6.5's and the IDQ, deaden and seal the doors and see how you like it. Then if you still feel the desire to get some 6x9's, you can.

Deadener can get pricey at shops. However, online it is quite affordable. About 50$ should cover your front doors and maybe part of the rest of the car

Deadener isn't cheap, but it's essential...
