what is a crossover?

you will get mid bass and thats very important whn you listen to rock music, there is a lot of mid bass and these 6x9s are what you need

both these setups come with passive crossovers, it splits the frequancy basically to only allow mids to go to the woofer and highs to go to the tweeters this eliminates distortion, thats why i set you up with all component speakers with crossovers, they will be crystal clear

I read once on a board somewhere that a guy told someone to not use 6x9s at all because it'll distort the subs and to just use components. Is there any truth to that? ANd your saying the crossovers will prevent that?

crossovers will prevent that, there arent many component 6x9s and these are one of the few amazing ones, ovals are harder to control circles, same idea hen it comes to square vs circle subs.

the 6x9s are in the rear so that is midbass, some cars have 6x9s in the fron and then i would buy adapters and put those 6.5s in the front and keep 6x9s in back

my girls camry was like that, 6x9s all around i put 6.5s in the front and those 6x9s in the back

I have a solara so its quite like a camry, but she didn't have subs?

yes she has subs, custom made box sealed in rear, looks real clean. i put a pair of boston acoustic subs in the back the g3's

and the cadences work well with the subs? sorry I know i'm asking the same questions but I don't wanna put the money down without knowing for sure

so because the they have the crossovers they are considered componenet?

yes there all separate, they will be great the 6x9s go low but not as low as subs thrtr mid bass drivers just very good ones
