I just decided to paint my boxes with texture paint,lol. Sometimes I leave them bare.

my OCD would never allow that lol. If I was to paint it I’d be taken the box to my body guy cause id want it perfect lol. My painting skills are good but definitely not great!

Understood. On another subject, my cdt comps are sounding nice man! Tweeters haven’t cut out on me. Guess I just needed to make some tuning adjustments. The drt-26 tweets are sound really nice!

excellent! The drt26 tweeters are very nice! When I was a dealer I always got the sets with those tweeters. One thing I loved about cdt is I could order the sets any way I wished.

Ive enjoyed every set of CDTs Ive owned and still own, and I really like the Image Dynamics as well. Kappa carbon fiber Mids I have are really nice and clean , but the tweets didnt last put a set of CDT tweets in place and sounds really good. No issues

Parametric Indash /EQ/Preamp Indash EQ 7-11 band and up to 8+V and all your tuning as at your finger tips. I use one in all my vehicles. Ive never regreted it Doesnt have to be cut into the dash. Can be mounted just under or at reach or Ive even just laid it in-between the seat and console in some of my cars. You would be amazed how much Louder and how much cleaner you can get your system to sound with a $40 dollar on up piece. I just picked up one off CTs site. Got it yesterday as a matter of fact. Got my old Earthquake 7000 (lights are too bright for me) & 2-Kicker KQ9s Ive used forever putting to rest for a bit to try something new. If you want to get your speakers to play clean as possible.. I highly recommend an external EQ at your finger tips to tune on the fly man.

it’s been a long time since I’ve chatted with Ken over at cdt but looking at their current line up, they definitely have drivers that I could totally use in my install! I’m going to reach out and see if Ken is interested in a sponsor ship (was sponsored by them before).

Spoke with cdt audio and it’s a go! I’ll be going with 4 of the HD-M6CV midbass drivers, and 2 pairs of the ES-02a’s. I tried to give the pro audio thing a chance but I simply can’t do it lol. The sound just isn’t for me and the midbass performance is non existent! CDT has made tons of improvements across the entire line. They will be sending me some of the other new items they have currently that I haven’t had a chance to listen to since I left the industry. I will demo them and give my feedback. I find it amazing that 15+ years ago when I was a dealer for cdt audio, the same exact people running it then, are the same exact ones running it today!

These floors are taking a bit so subs have to wait but I did build the amp rack today! It’s not covered with carpet yet but it’s ready for it. Once covered I’ll mount everything and make all the holes for the wires to come through. This will be awhile before I get to that! You can see all my flooring under my build table

Subs are done! This flooring is killing me but I managed to sneak these in . They are drying over night and I’ll post pics once they are dry. I managed to get surround and cone, coil, and dust cap to weight just 347 grams. This is with the cone backs glassed which adds just 5 grams to the weight but makes the cone super stiff. Little sneaky peeky.

All done, just gotta do the logo on one of them and slap the holographic serial numbers on the backs. Now I get to take a break for a bit

Amp rack is done. I like the color of the felt I used but my color it black. Not sure yet but I have time to figure it out. The left side notch will hold the other battery.

Connections are done on the box and the 8ga speaker wire is on ready to go. 8ga ring terminals are on the direct leads on the subs but can’t put them in the box as it must go in the car first. Box is heavy enough lol. I will cut the studs down next, don’t really need to as no one will see it but it will bother me .

Lol, I understand man. I had some studs that were like 2” long and it bothered me like crazy. Ended up cutting them down
