Me? No, I would love to do my doors like that... looks clean... I was thinking of doing kickpods but I'm still not sure. How did you run the speaker wire? Was it a pain in the ***? I figure if I just did kickpods it would be 10 times easier just running the speaker wire under the carpet then trying to fish it through the door jamb and whatnot

If running a bunch of power to your comps, like 100rms or more to each speaker, then I would try and fish them through the molex plugs, which is a bish and time consuming as hell.

Me, I am only running 60rms to each speaker and using the factory wires that were there and they sound fantastic to me.

Thanks as well, I get a lot of heat about my doors............well where my tweeters are, lol! Still sound perfectly fine there.

Thanks guys, and I could care less about the speaker placement, being that sound killer, so it is whatever. I have had tweets in sail panels/kick panels and delt with speaker placement and these sound just as good where they are at.
Also gear guy, I would love a set of ID's, but for the money these are hard to beat. On my 2nd set of them after I sold my other set last year.

What did you pay for the pioneers, I guess my friend probably got ripped off, I think he paid like $230 from bestbuy (first mistake) and he has a baby amp lol

I only paid $160 for my ID's brand new from lyttleviet (from ca)

To be fair Id love to hear the pioneers off a decent amp like a sundown 50.4

So you just unplugged the factory speakers, and hooked up your comp's xover to them, then behind the headunit, pulled the wires from the harness and extended them to the trunk/amp?

No I used a crimp to run extra wires off of to the factory wires to run to the crossovers and then ran the wires from behind the headunit to the back of the clarion amp.

I forget the technical word for those crimps, but it crimps into the wire, so you get power from it and I ran the wire from that. Just had them lying around from the last intall I did in it.

Did you buy the OEM ID's or the CTX's? I could have gotten the CTX's for a decent price, but I know what my 720's did and how well the sounded before, so just stuck with what I liked.

My clarion amp does decent, but wish I had at least 100rms to give them, but oh well, they sound fine where they are at.

Love to have me some OEMS as well, but would probably have to go active with those.
