SSA Xcon 15 New Build

Heck... nowadays with the DSP's and all... IDK... sound treatment is probably as important as it always was... but placement problems can be overcome to an extent with DSP's I'm sure... I have ZERO experience with DSP's and frankly they scare me as I know myself and will probably fall into that money pit again... tweaking and testing... LOL!.. for 1996 it was a KILLER setup but today... probably above average...
I learnt a DSP will save you money. You will figure out you don't know $$ gear.

If you want to change something just change the tune. Totally different car then. And that's free.

I can see what your sayin' but I'm so set in my "SQ" theories that I almost bought a pair of Butler Tube Drivers a year ago... that sound will haunt me forever I think... LOL!... presence, sustain and IDK what else it had... he must have sacrificed a goat under the full moon as the stars aligned during the build... LOL!... I've listened to a few good SQ cars in my time... and I just want good midbass, smooth highs and almost subsonic lows... sound IS subjective anyways... I had a hard time understanding how the judging could be objective as the judges were manufacturers reps/industry people as well... I got no beef with the whole scene... but it just never seemed objective to me... That was IASCA... today... IDK Sh*t!

I should amend that... depends where you peak.
Blazers will not do good #s low. If you peak low 40s or higher, it will meter well.

If you peak at like 35hz, you might only do about 146 outlaw
That's a scary good prediction...

if you want to compete, do a low airspace high tuned box with high port area. 40-44hz tuning. I would not recommend that for daily. However you should get some pretty massive numbers around the 50hz range.
Oh... OK... that's NOT going to happen... love them lows... no burp box for this kid... I'll guess I'll be content... 146 ain't bad anyways

I have so much test time with mine. 8s, 12s, 15... diff tunings, different power inputs etc
Sounds like years... I've been playing with mine for 10 months now... the box is almost EXACT for a pair of SA X's... next year those and a pair of 3.5K's strapped... then the year after that... LOL!

Looks like you called it right... I'm peaking at 35hz... the thing sounds LOUD probably cause it's moving some air... LOL!.. Heck, I'm happy with this...

I don't want to lose those lows... it goes down to mid to low 20's pretty good... [emoji106]
