Speaker freq. question.

Can you solve it?
I just put in some ED 6.5's and I have them running on an amp at 75rms. If I have the bass freq. blocked off at whatever HZ, should I worry about the highs as well? Will highs through the speaker matter? If so, how do I block them out? Also, would I be better off using the amps crossover or the headunits? I have a clarion 935 dvd player.

Thanks

No, in a component set with a passive crossover the only thing you need to do is use a highpass filter.

Also, would I be better off using the amps crossover or the headunits?
Try both. See which one you like better. Heck, try using them together and see if you like the results.

I see. In that case, you will likely want to lowpass the mid aswell. I would use the highpass filter on the HU, and the lowpass filter on the amplifier to bandpass the mid.
