Your family doesn't own a gun?! I believe every American citizen should own atleast 1 gun. Take this situation for example...you dad has some big balls, but if the guy wouldn't have knocked out right away your dad may be in the hospital right now. Here in FL you would have gotten away with shooting/killing the guy. He ran up to your dad to hurt him so he could have opened fire on him because the guy threatened his life. Tell your dad to really consider getting a firearm.

Which would lead to only more violece... If EVERY American owned a firearm, then if someone broke into your house, he should have his own gun and you would be in large line of crossfire; making it even more dangerous for your family. Statistics show that most guns kept for security are normally accidently discharged at the wrong person...
