My Scummy Town's Excuse For Police

Police officer hid behind a tree with a camera hidden from sight at a stop sign. I passed by without a seatbelt on (a block away from my house) and was pulled over about 10 seconds later and ticketed. The thing is, there was no way to escape, any route you took you'd run into a squad car, there was a squad car on every possible outlet on the road.

My cops have nothing better to do than issue seatbelt tickets. Its funny because when my family actually had an emergency it took at least 10-15 minutes in my small town for them to get to my house. They were probably busy busting people for seatbelts.

but yea dude same as in my town...takes them 25 mins to get to my house in emergency, AND they wont jump start ur car, but they will give u a ticket for not wearin seatbelts

Just wear the da/mn thing...it's not that hard!

But yeah I saw this one segment on 20/20 or Lifeline or one of those similar shows where police officers would disguise themselves as construction workers & give tips over radio to squad cars ready to move pertaining to speeding cars and such.

I remember one time at a local hang out were we all would sit around and talk on mainstreet. Someone who was "training" to be a cop sat on top of the bank and watched and listend in on all of our conversations trying to find something he could have his buddies bust us with...wuda dumbass...to say the least he never became a cop.

Seat belts protect you. So if a cop is forcing you to wear a seatbelt hence penalizing you for not wearing one, it's a form of indirectly protecting you.

Regardless, I still see it as a way for the state to make some money, as with parking tickets.

yup they did that in my town and i forget exactly how much they made that night off speeders, but i know it was thousands of dollars./.....the cop wont help you out when u need it tho! haha messed up eh?

hahahah r u saying you would've taken off and try to outrun the cops if they werent everywhere??? HAHAHHAHAHA if so, you got balls man.. especially over a seat belt ticcet.. but yea just last month i got a ticcet for not wearing my seat belt too. in california!! how lame is that huh.. well i was going on the boulevard and a motorcycle cop was turning onto the street i was on and saw me pass him without a seat belt and the fuccer got me instantly.. the funny thing is he pulled my dad over the day before and gave him the same exact ticcet.. and this all ALSO happened in front of our shop.. while we were just leaving work.. you need to gather up your buddies and start a local gang so that the cops have something else to focus on in town..

Noo, but if there was only a cop in one direction i would've had the opportunity to go another route. I actually went from my normal route because I saw a police car down a side road, but I went on further past some train tracks and there was a squad car ready to tag me....

Well I went out with a large poster and warned people of the camera. Was pretty funny to see the look on the lady officers face though.

I can understand how you consider a seat-belt ticket petty, but why dont you just put it on?
