Someone please explain this...

I'm telling you since several understood it without any trouble, that it was understandable. Read your own definition.
I understood what you've been TRYING to say. What matters is what you're actually saying. That is the point we're making.

Oh and what definition? I linked you to the logic wiki because of your gratuitous use of the term.

Still, by your logic, if i REALLY wanted one of those amps, and I save up for it and got it, I would be considered an enthusiast, by you.
So what you're arguing... you're still arguing by the way even though you said you wouldn't... is that I'm wrong in advocating people save up for what they REALLY want, when in fact they could want this crappy amp really badly when the whole time you have been admitting that it is settling? You are reaching so badly.

Don't try to speak for other people, because even though you are really trying hard to prove me wrong, you are MUCH more rational than the rest. Don't lump yourself in with them. You are above that. I am actually saying exactly what I've been saying. These are not two different things. I realize you are mad at me and you really want to prove me wrong and you're mad and all of that... but seriously stop. It's not going to work. You have no point.

Also, I KNOW the definition which is why I use it so much. If you think I'm wrong in using it, you should brush up on it. Sorry that you didn't understand that from my plain language usage that should easily be clearly understood.

How am I reaching? I'm simply adhering to your "logic" which you are now attacking, which just goes to show you how flimsy it really was. I'm not saying people shouldn't save up for what they really want, but there's no harm in buying lesser equipment on the way, it's how you gain experience that will let you make the most of your dream equipment.

Will you stop trying to sounds smarter then you are. It is extremely obvious and just makes me laugh.
Seriously, if he was half as smart as he's trying to sound he'd realize how flawed his whole argument is.

Show me specifically how I"m attacking my logic.

You can argue it all day, but it doesn't make it smart. You lose money on the resale and you waste time. It would be much quicker realizing your goal if you just waited until you could afford it.

I know you guys are mad at me. I haven't insulted you at all. I have just used logic and you haven't been able to disprove it so you've called me retarded and now not smart etc. You call me whatever you want but this is how I talk. I don't use a lot of slang and I spell things correctly. Why that is a negative thing is beyond me....

Command of the English language doesn't necessarily indicate intelligence, it's a start though. I never said wanting crappy equipment form the start was settling, I said wanting good gear, and then getting bad equipment is settling... which it is. SO... by everything you've said, I would be an enthusiast if I were running my Boss amp that I've dreamed my whole life of getting.

All that money lost is experience gained, which, like I said, could be utilized while installing the gear you really want.

We call you names because arguing with you "logically" is not working, so I guess we're just frustrated with how incredibly dull you're being.

I agree with e-crack o_O I have 21a credits each semester and I still have two Jobs so I can buy what I want.
And I have a BS in Chemistry minus 1 credit hour and work one job as little as possible so I still have time to chase tail and enjoy the weather. Real life (and money) can start once I complete my education. In the mean time, I'll use whatever equipment I can afford for the time being and do my best to make it sound as good as possible. To say I'm not an enthusiast is asinine. I've been studying speakers and acoustics since before I knew what a Newtonian fluid was, much less could comprehensively explain Newton's laws of motion. I've spent years browsing forums and reading reviews and trying to understand acoustics papers outside of my mathematical limitations. Now I apply harmonics and waves to model atoms and molecules and I work in my friend's audio shop on his big builds for free because I just like working with the equipment (and I've known him literally half my life and is struggling like all B&M's). If you dont consider me an enthusiast, I dont know what an enthusiast is. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If we take your argument seriously, wouldn't an enthusiast by my definition (someone who is enthusiastic about car audio and won't settle for anything less than what they want) also do some investigation? I see what you're trying to do here, but you're ignoring the fact that nobody hungers and thirsts for something without trying to educate their self on it.

All that money lost is experience gained, which, like I said, could be utilized while installing the gear you really want.
So in your opinion, learning the hard way is an attribute of an enthusiast?

Arguing logically isn't working because you bring nothing to the table. Your logic can't hold up.

I asked specifically how I was trying to sound smarter than I am. I guess that went over your head. Spell it out for me.
