Someone please explain this...

If someone were to come on here 3 years ago saying "power accoustic is bad ***" or "I'm planning on buying power accoustic something or other" they'd have got **** on til they left in shame..
How the **** does putting a stupid plastic spider logo and "SOUNDSTREAM" on the same product make it good?

Don't get me wrong, they make a couple decent products (but so did power accoustic at one point or another), but IMO across the board more of it is just junk.
I hate 99% of soundstream and like the other 1% I won't how ever say it's a good brand as the bad over weighs the good.

Sorry if you don't know what an enthusiast is and you can't say anything that is true or backed up my logic. Doesn't settling on something mean you're not that enthusiastic about it?
I wanted an LMS Ultra 18, but I got an HDC3 18 instead, I settled, but I was still excited when I got it. doesn't make me less enthusiastic about car audio.

So... what is your point? How does any of this make me retarded?
So, specifically what is your point with this statement?

Not by definition.
By saying I'm not an enthusiast because of the decision I made is the reason you are retarded.

My point is the box isn't a pre fab POS that I'm not going to be happy with. It's built to how I want it which would indeed make it a custom box.

Actual yes it is. The definition of enthusiast is a person who is filled with enthusiasm for some principle, pursuit, etc. To make it simpler since you can't understand, meaning somebody is happy for some principle, which would be car audio in this scenario. Going with my decision would indeed make me happy with the hobby, and I would in turn be an enthusiast.

Try again bro

It's not a lie, it's convenient how you choose to recognize the definitions of words that are convenient and reject definitions that are not. For instance, you are adamant about adhering to the definition of per-fabricated, yet you turn a blind eye to the definition of enthusiast, which is "A person who is highly interested in a particular activity or subject." btw.
That's not the definition I found. It is a person who is consumed and enthusiastic about a particular subject. So by definition you cannot "settle"(your words... not mine) for equipment and be enthusiastic about it.

Now, logically refute that definition of an enthusiast using your argument, and I'll admit I was wrong.
I have several times now.

I'm officially done, you're too dense to recognize anyone else's point of view but your own. I don't mind conceding to a superior argument, but yours is far from that.

The fact that you settled is really what you're not getting. Would a car enthusiast save to buy the car of their dreams and settle for anything less? Would a computer enthusiast buy a prebuilt acer? Would an enthusiast of anything settle? No. They absolutely would not.

Just because your budget does not allow you to buy top of the line doesn't mean your not an enthusiast. An enthusiast is some one who lives and breathes their hobby, not some one with money to burn and buys the best of everything. My uncle owns a $5000 night hawk 1911 and barely knows how to clean it, does that make him an enthusiast just because he is a brain surgeon with tons of disposable income?

You have failed to present a logical counter argument. Because of this, one can only surmise that my argument IS in fact superior and that you DO have a problem admitting it. What is funny is, I never singled anyone out. You all got butthurt on your own free will. You diagnosed yourselves as guilty based on my definition. You unknowingly admitted your own guilt. It is astonishing that you still think you're smarter than me given everything you've shown in this thread.

Now where in the heck did I say anything about having tons of money? Go back and quote me on that. Until you do that, you are just making up arguments so you will have SOMETHING to argue.

I have noticed one thing that is very evident as an observation in terms of how the money is spent, not at all a thing of taking one side or the other.

In the current market of internet car audio, people will so easily go the cheaper route on amplifiers, but will save up for very expensive sub woofers. The point I am making here is the majority of inexperienced users are so worried about the pissing contest of boasting how many watts they have installed, and put very little effort into the actual install.

More power is rarely the best route. To effectively use it, it costs much more money then grabbing a cheaply built amplifier that has a sticker that claims 47giggawatts on it. The electrical is almost always overlooked, signal voltage is neglected, refining and testing different enclosures for sub woofers usually get the least amount of effort, sound deadening does not get the attention it should and lastly the self planning and research is much more then going online and making a topic of having a gaggle of people whom you have never met tell you what you should buy.

In no way am I saying buy a Zapco C2k 9.0 over a Audioque 2200, not at all, but the idea of more power is not always the answer, especially in these times of budgets for an non-essential thing like car audio upgrades not being what they used to. Use the same money that would go towards a fairly cheap big wattage amplifier, and put 1/2 towards sound deadening and 1/2 towards a used higher quality amp of lower power.

Just trying to get people to entertain the idea of thinking more efficiently, as in the end that is the best way. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I think I get dumber every time I read one of your post. You will never take an argument head on, you try to turn it away from what it is to make your self look better with out being right or proving your point.

edit: to ecrack

Oh, because I logically defended my statements several times and you couldn't defend yours.....

My point is the box isn't a pre fab POS that I'm not going to be happy with. It's built to how I want it which would indeed make it a custom box.
Maybe you should look up the definition of pre-fab again.

So because someone might enjoy a glass of wine once, that makes them an enthusiast? Wow... and you're calling ME a retard?
Try again bro
Take your own advice bro bro bro.

I take everything head on. You are a hypocrite. With this quoted comment you were doing EXACTLY what you accused me of.

Your argument is so completely black and white though, you're not allowing any room for progression over time. Sure everyone has their ultimate dream system, but they have to have something between start and finish.

Like I said, I'm done arguing with you, you refuse to accept the holes in your logic and you're never going to admit that they're there, so it's just a waste of time.

That isn't true. I asked someone in this thread to show where i said anything about "the best". My argument was about settling for something other than their original goal. You took it out of context.

Like I said, I'm done arguing with you, you refuse to accept the holes in your logic and you're never going to admit that they're there, so it's just a waste of time.
Yeah, you said it once, then with this post you came back to argue more......
