OP, congrats and update when you find out.

congrats on being spoiled. I bought my truck when I was 14, and I still drive it. Know what my parents got me as a graduation gift, for finishing in the top 25 in my class? Luggage. ****ing, luggage. How about you go out, earn some money, and purchase a vehicle yourself, pay the taxes, and insurance on it, then tell us how you feel.

Congrats for being a spoiled, u have officially started on ur way to failure. It's really gonna **** for u when bills hit u later on in life. I bet they're planning on paying for college for you too??

I bought an 88 5.0 for $350... Guy thought the engine was blown, all needed was a new head gasket. Me, friend, and his dad did it the summer before my 16th and sure enough had it running like new.
sorry your parents hate you

No they had money to get me a starter car and i got plenty good grades/kept myself out of trouble then... They just chose not to because it teaches you life lessons early, if u get babied and have things paid for you then u can't learn to be responsible with ur money. Same thing with school, i chose to go to a tech school so i could become an auto technician. They wouldn't even co-sign on student loans, makes things alot more difficult and higher rates. By no means am i upset by how they did things, i'm happy that im 23 and financially doing pretty good. Plus i did it all myself, which is an incredible feeling in its own.

These are the kids that run up CC bills under mommy and daddys name.
Would you like to turn this into a pissing match? Both of my parents (now divorced) make in excess of $150,000/year and could easily afford to pay for anything I want. However, instead of paying for my school ($20,000 a year), my car insurance, my health/dental/vision insurance, my cell phone bill, etc. etc. etc. they leave that up to me... WHAT DO I WIN?!?!

Now can you two please

SHUT THE FUCK UP

my parents bought me a car for graduation. fuck me. I should have refused it so I could learn the value of a dollar, right? WRONG Just because some people have parents that want to buy them a car doesn't mean that they do not deserve it or that they won't appreciate it. Congrats to the OP

Sorry mommy and daddy didn't love you.
Congrats OP, hopefully its a honda //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Don't let the other posters get you down OP.
My parents bought me a vehicle as soon as I turned 16, and bought me a house when I went off to college //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Hope they buy me a nicer vehicle when I graduate next May.

All of you haters, **** IT!

Hope you get a ballin vehicle, OP.
And look at your life.

Just because your parents don't buy you shit, that doesn't mean they hate you. I think that means they are trying to teach you a lesson. What are you going to do when you are 40, lose your job, house, and marriage?

Well, I guess then the government will hand something to you.

^^^ x2

if the kid is responsible, he will learn to enjoy the car, take care of it, etc etc. it IS possible to be given stuff and learn to appreciate it

if he doesnt, than he is an idiot, but until that point, there is nothing here regarding being spoiled.

And this is coming from somebody who has purchased all of my vehicles, pays for my own college, etc etc.

Sad. You've got people knocking you on a car audio website because you don't know the value of a dollar. I hadn't realized what a great investment $2000 in your trunk is before now. Who would have thought? You could have learned to save money because your parents didn't buy you a car. That would have taught you so much about life that you would be able to rationalize pissing your money away on speakers and amplifiers. And the two main whiners? Jay minus a Silent Fuc**ng Bob and the guy that thinks his U2 car is pimp. I understand the 'Stang guy on here though, his car is enough to tell you he needs to know what everyone else is into so he can buy the right bling.

Congrats on the car.

I guess I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions about the kid being spoiled, I just think its wrong for a family to go more into debt, and not teach their kid anything about hard work. Granted, if my kid kicks *** in high school, gets free college, and has actually done some work in his life, then yea, something nice may be waiting for him in the end. If I have the money for it. No need to sacrifice my own wealth if I don't have the means to.

So yea, sorry OP for apparently "hating" on you. Prove to me that you're responsible and you can do something with you life.

You're right, I do live at home. I have also had to help pay the mortgage (good spelling by the way). I've had to help buy food. I also said that I never appreciated being able to live under my parents roof. I understand that they cannot continue to afford me, they have helped me out a ton. They payed for all those years of little league, vacations, etc. Also, I can't wait for the real life, because you know why? I KNOW I'll be more prepared for it than most kids my age. I won't have car payments, or credit card payments because I won't be in debt. The only thing I'll ever owe on is a house...oh wait, no I won't. I'm military, free housing FTW!!! You people crack me up how you think that it's ok to spoil your kids. This is a one of the reasons that our economy is suffering, because we've lost all work ethic. Kids get out of high school and don't know what to do, so they just stay at their parents house until they're 22-25. Guess what? I've got my room and board paid for, because I busted my *** in high school for it. Along with work ethic comes success, that's why I laugh at this.
Your ego must be huge dude. Not from that quote, I just wanted to quote you so I wouldn't have to spell your name. Get off your high horse. The great thing about this world is the diversity, some people have it easier than others. My dad went 50% on my first car with me, since then I've been on my own for everything except when I needed help. I have friends who's parents have bought them 3 cars not, but I don't go *****ing or saying how they don't learn anything. Everything is different for everyone, which creates great things in the end because of that diversity.

nothing was said about his parents going into debt. For all you know, they paid cash for it. Also, from the sounds of it, this is probably an award for him doing well in life, working hard.

stop posting.

You don't know that the parents are going in to debt. You know nothing of what his parents do for a living. Hell you don't even know what kind of a car he is getting. Get off your high fucking horse
