So my dad bought me a car for the big 18

I didnt buy my kids cars exactly, I went to the dealership in 03 and "bought" my daughter a 02 z24, but she had to make the payments. Then I got my son a 05' sebring with 14k miles, and he had to make the payments as well. If I had the scratch I would have just given them the cars. My kids got and held jobs as soon as they could and have since, so I think they would have deserved it. My youngest girl is 15 and wants a car, but she is lazy so no dice.

So you have three kids, the youngest of which is 15...and you're 34 years old? You said you bought your daughter a car in 03. So 6 years ago, and he being 16 at the time, means she's around 22 now...and you're 34?

Their college education will lead to a better job, making more money, and enabling them to take care of you when you get old.

I'll be raising them for the next 18 to 20 years paying for homecomming, prom dresses, weddings AND will be handing them a fat sum of money when they get married... Least they can do is take care of my old azz for a while when I need it!

actually I'm 36. my oldest girl is 22. oldest boy is 21. youngest girl is 15, youngest boy is 11 turning 12 next week.

Being a parent isnt about that noobx. Selfish parenting will lead your kids to being delinquents or dumbasses.
yup.. Ill take that seriously from a 21 year old........... Read my entire post, comprehend it, then tell me about selfish parenting n00bX

Lmao. I read and comprehended it the first time. I see that you apparently a baller and have saved money for your children. Which is smart and rather nice. But, I quoted that section for a reason.

I just dont see why you would rather buy them a house or have all that money saved up somewhere when you could use it to better there education. I suppose its to teach a lesson about work ethic or whatever but cant that be achieved in other ways.

Wouldn't you rather start your kids out on the right foot and debt free. Unlike sooooo many of the college students walking around campuses.

Im getting offtopic and it'll be my last post in this thread. BTW, you havent been here long enough because I call everyone noobx's. I can someone got a lil offended. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

My rents gave me a 1993 cadillac so I sold that, made a profit (they paid $2500 I sold to an old lady for $4200) Bought a 1982 mercedes diesel, sold that and lost money (life lessons learned) and im taking the $3200 from that and fixing up my dads old Land Rover, I have a job and make money but having parents that love you is great b/c they can help you out when you need it.

And 34 on ACT is good as shit btw bunkerking I got a 29 and am shooting for 30's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
