i personally see nothing wrong with parents treating their child to a car, as long as that child is deserving of the item.

My HS was a small car show every morning... A girl i was friends wish has a Lexus SC430 for spring/summer and an RX350 for the fall/winter. At least 5 black BMW 3 series alone lol.

 

Then there was me w/ my $350 5.0 Mustang with rust spots on the rear quarter panels and the entire paint job completely faded.

Dude my dad gave me a car my senior year of high school, too. It was his old caravan, but I put 4 15's in it and made it sweeter than any of the brand new cars sitting in the school parking lot.

Congrats on the new car. Just don't forget to do something real nice for your old man on father's day.
