So my dad bought me a car for the big 18

at least you got something from your parents, you know what i got to do, i had to give my parents all my graduation money to pay off ****ing bills. oh and i finished in top 10.
All the bills they accumulated from raising you (and any siblings) for the previous 18 years?

It's shit like this that makes me not even bother with this site. It seems to be a badge of honor for not accepting gifts and making sure that everyone knows that you know the value of a dollar. Who gives a **** if you bought your car at 14 versus he got a car from his parents at 18? Why even mention that? Do you really think we care that you have to work your *** off to just get by?
I had no idea you were even still here //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Oh, and my parents bought me my first car......$100, and it was only that expensive because it had newish tires. 1984 Olds Omega. 0 to 60 in.....oh hell, who am I kidding, that car couldn't do 60mph //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

No, it's not every parent's wish...some parents (including mine) feel that struggle is a necessary phase. I doubt I provide my kids (if I have them) with cars and other extragavances. There is no need in such and only creates a materialistic perspective...
The only way I would consider purchasing (a portion of) my children's first vehicle was if they were active enough in extra circular activities that they did not have time to generate income for themselves. They'll work the rest of their lives....no need to force them to put off potentially beneficial activities in pursuit of the all mighty dollar at such an early age.

But even then, I want them to have saved up enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif to atleast help pay for the car. It's my opinion that working and saving for one's own goods helps generate more pride and care in maintenance for what you do own, as well as helping to teach them how to save.

My grandparent bought my camaro well most of it. She told me i had earned it because i earns As and Bs in school. and i was starting both ways on the football team and i had saved 500 toward a car and i always help out when i can So sometimes it not the the kid is spoiled maybe ha has been a great kid as a teen and not been in trouble wit the cops or anything so his dad thought it was a nice thing to do for him Good look on the car man Cross your fingers for a camaro very fun car

Bunch of whiney bishes on here.

Good luck on the car. Hope it is something nice and look forward to some pics of it.

My parents didnt give me anything but who gives a shit? Bunch of feggot cry babies. The kid is lucky it sounds like he has good parents.

Word!

I was never given much either, besides a roof, food, clothes on my back, but who gives a fawk about all that nonsense, lol!

I paid 400 dollars for my 1st car and lasted 2 years, 800 for my next car and kept going up, but it was always me and my parents instilled that in me, which I thank them for.

But just because some parents buy their kid a ride, don't mean they are spoiled. Like others have mentioned, maybe he worked hard in school and what not.

A lot of the reason my parents didn't do that for me, was because we lived in a richy neighborhood so I could go to a nice shool, but we were strapped most of the time till later in life.

People on here are nothing but keyboard commandos or trollz.

Congrats for being a spoiled, u have officially started on ur way to failure. It's really gonna **** for u when bills hit u later on in life. I bet they're planning on paying for college for you too??

I bought an 88 5.0 for $350... Guy thought the engine was blown, all needed was a new head gasket. Me, friend, and his dad did it the summer before my 16th and sure enough had it running like new.
maybe this kid got a 300 mustang??? he doesn't know what it is...and he's 18 not 16...that means he's had to wait 2 years for this to happen and is just sharing...congrats on being a ****

**** this thread blew up like hiroshima
Anytime a kid gets a car for free on here people lose their minds for some reason. Like as if their own parents never got them anything. I'm 19 and have had two cars not counting the one I have now. I paid for them both with my own money and I'm currently paying for the one I have now and I'm not going to complain if this dudes parents are wealthy enough to get him a car.

Didn't and won't read the whole **** thread.

But gratz dude hope it's a nice car.

I give you a picture for all the feet stamping kids crying about what goes on in someone elses life.
