How has the UAW pushed things to far? I guess fighting GM to keep the jobs of the people they represent is too far. Apparently the UAW is causing the sales of the automakers to decline.
They forced higher pensions than the company can afford. GM is barely staying afloat buying people out early. You can only take so much blood for the worker before it hurts the company as a whole. The best maneuver was putting health care into the hands of the union and off the companies shoulder. Now the employees can watch their beloved union mismanage and **** them with it. UAW put food on my whole families table, but I am still not blinded by the fact that they have taken too much in the name of the worker.
The union has conceded big time on retiree pensions. Ford's has made big cutbacks on retirees health care. This was a non issue till the overseas companies infiltrated the US and gave the big 3 competition. The union isn't the reason the big 3 is going down. Why don't salary employees cut back their pensions and pay?
I am not going to continue to argue why I find unions unnecessary with you. I reserve those for pissing off my dad.
The last strike with GM was because GM wanted to cut X amount of jobs. If the union isn't going to fight at least for your job, then they are worthless.

they tried to say it was a tobacco pipe after he admitted having it to everyone.it was my word against his blah blah i was just trying to get him fired blah blah and there was no evidence but denied all pot or smoking. we requested a urine test and he refused and got himself fired lol
Its a new job. You shouldn't have to tell a new employee to get their *** in gear. Automatic. This kind of "give him a chance" ethic you speak of is weaksauce. The guy had his chance when he got hired.
he wasnt really motivated either surprising. the job is really cake. requires a round of the grounds every hour, which he was late doing cause he was zoned out watching a movie. there is a check list of maybe 35 things. i also have printed sheets of the standards for ph and temp ranges and easy ways to adjust of the normal problems or things to spot. a **** monkey could do the job. and if there is a problem that requires more than 2brain cells they call me and or maintenance. they just have to spot the problem. maybe takes if your slow 10min an hour. the rest of the time is keeping yourself out of trouble and he failed.
