simple sub setup...rlps or single mag?

sorry for another comparison, but should i do 2 12" rlps, or a single 12" mag? I have 1200 watts to use, so all that on the mag, or split between the rlp? i would think 2 would be louder than one, but would it really be that much louder?

I really want the mag as well but if I were you in this scenerio I would go with the two RL-ps. The Mag is a bit underrated powerwise but having twice the cone area and similar xmax and the wattage split I would go with the splinters. If you said a 15inch mag vs the two 12's then that would be a different story. Are you going ported or sealed?

what do you guys think would sound the best for cost/space in car sealed

1.) 12" SI D2 Mag

2.) 2 12" Rl-p's

3.) 2 12" IDQ v2

4.) 15" SI D2 Mag

i usually set my LP crossover at 80 hz, so the sub has to be capable to play up to that smoothly...

Go with the pair of rlps.

Any of those choices would sound great, but the pair of 12"s would have the most potential.....

All of em have great potential, for the greatest sql setup I'd say 2 or 4.

ok, heres what i'm looking for: great sound that gets loud. my brother has a single 12" rlp running off 600 watts sealed that sounds great, i couldn't ask for better SQ, but just isn't quite loud enough-almost there, but not quite. sooo, i thought maybe a single mag would do the job or should i go to 2 rlps? someone also suggested the idq's, but do those not even compare?
