i have my 4 re8's in a box, but two are messed up. (have 2 others on the way). but i have them wired to 2 ohms. and just for fun i measured the resistance as the boxes terminal and it is ~3.5 ohms. should it be around 2 ohms? im thinking its higher cause of the messed up subs.

i highly doubt its my meter. its a fluke 88. wich was like $350. and no i didnt have them playing or hooked up to the amp when i tested them

Pull them and check one coil at a time.

If some of the coils are messed up, there is no way to no what you will measure with everythign wired up unless you know what each coil is. . .

good possibility most people dont know how a sub works and forget that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

if you move the cone the reading will change //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
