should the ohms be this high?

i have my 4 re8's in a box, but two are messed up. (have 2 others on the way). but i have them wired to 2 ohms. and just for fun i measured the resistance as the boxes terminal and it is ~3.5 ohms. should it be around 2 ohms? im thinking its higher cause of the messed up subs.

touch the leads together on your DMM and see what it reads with no other resistance, my cheap DMM is .7 and my fluke is only .1 ohms

i highly doubt its my meter. its a fluke 88. wich was like $350. and no i didnt have them playing or hooked up to the amp when i tested them

Pull them and check one coil at a time.

If some of the coils are messed up, there is no way to no what you will measure with everythign wired up unless you know what each coil is. . .

Fubar or the fact other noises are slightly moving the cone to give you a higher resistance reading...
