Should Mods have Temporary Ban Powers?

So the real question then is, why doesnt he IP ban. Oh well, I guess.

doesnt always work. Take me for instance. Im at work right now. I am using an IP address which is used by all 10,000 computers to access the internet. I guarantee there are probably more than 5 users using the same IP address as me. including chinny and raisedin305 as they go to school in the same district as i work so we all have the same IP address even though we are in different schools. This system is messed up they rout all schools to 1 building and out 1 Ip address.

totally wrong. I was never told to provide proof of anything. I came in one day and my account was banned. He says he deleted my thread and warned me but he never warned me anything and i explained to him if he deelted my thread it was a pshsical deelte not a soft delete like mods do so i seen no notice. I never had talked to goob before i was banned. I explained how i got the DVDs and said I would not sell them again if he had a problem with it but I was told by several people they were authentic. He replied he would reenable my account but not to sell them again unless i have something from glassman saying they are authentic. well glassman never returns my emails, and he never unlocked my account. This all happened before you were a mod, req can tell you what happened as he was relaying my messages to goob for me since he didnt reply to my PMs either. but as you say its all in the past but the fact still remains some mods abuse their powers and are over zelous when it comes to deleting threads //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Where did you get the DVD's? Glassman? Glassman quickly replied to Chris. You should try and contact them again. I bet if you provided proof, Goob would give you your name back.

I do not agree with your final statement, but everyone is intitled to their opinion. (edit: To a point I guess I do agree...)

no i bought them from someone else as a bulk buy along time ago, and Ive emailed glassman several times with no reply. as recently as 2 weeks ago. Ive even had people email him and Pm him to see if he answer them and guess what he doesnt. thats why i find it hard to believe he replied to netherland. If he doesnt reply to 7 people that emailed and PMed him its amazing netherland got a reply.

All mods should have temp. ban powers. We should also be able to un-ban members, if one of the mods pulls the trigger too quickly.

Eh, I don't think so. We actually discuss things back there and come up with decisions that we can all live with, for the most part.

I dont have a link anymore. Ive looked but I cant find it. it was along time ago and my boought items have been cleared many times since then. Anyways other than that situation Ive never had an issue on here, and my references out number 99% of the people on here so what do i have to gain by making this up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I've sold many things to many people and what ive sold on here doesnt account for 1% so why would i bother trying to cheat someone on here if I never cheated anyone on any other forum or ebay in the many years ive been selling and buying. The fact is the whole "burned dvd" thing was just another excuse in a long line, I had plenty of PMs on my old name from him which goob could have viewed that showed other excuses before the burned dvd excuse. ive said that from the beginning. a couple mods went totally apeshit when they got their powers. Alright this clusterfuck is turning into an arguement over DVD's and that problem needs to be rectefied quickly.

Although previously I mentioned the temp-ban powers were bad, nova made a good point. If some asshat is banning me and snova can unban me knowing I did nothing wrong, then that would be nice. There needs to be a way for other mods to figure out who is banned though, so that they can look into why and decide if it was appropriate. I don't want to wait a week for someone to finally notice im banned, ya know?
