i got an optima yellowtop D31 i'm gonna install in the trunk. not sure what battery i'll put under the hood, probably an everstart maxx from walmart. i got a 250 amp alternator. i got one of those stinger 200 amp relays. should i use it, or just forget about it? i heard the batteries fight when the car is not running so will my yellowtop in the back kick the everstarts ***? what are the pros and cons to isolators?

Isolators charge both batteries yet keep their loads competely seperate from one another..

ahh so both batteries hook to this? when i do the big 3 i run the wire from the alt, to the middle, then the end ones go to battery under hood, and battery in trunk?

I say no.

I had 4 batts at one point with no isolator.

Everything was fine.
