should I rebuild my system or upgrade it?

Hey all, I have a 12inch w3 and a m500, They were an awesome combo! But yesterday the amp died So now is the time to make a decision....should I buy a new amp or use this time to upgrade?

I have a budget of $150, I'm thinking about getting a new amp to replace the old alpine, or I could get a new sub and amp for about that much off craigslist.

Here are a couple setups I've seen on craigslist

10 inch alpine sub in box and 1000 watt sony amp

pioneer 1100w gm-x742 amp and two volfen hag 10" 1000w subs

1000 watt alpine amp KAC-8101D and two 10'' alpine type-s subs

what would you guys think? should I get one of these setups or upgrade? any other suggestions or applicable info would be great too.

i guarantee just about everything you're going to find on CL for that price is trash, unless you really know what to look for. You can snag a nice amp off the classifieds here to match that sub pretty well.

Get another amp from the classifieds on here. For that you should be able to get something good

would it be worth getting a more powerful amp?

because the m500 and the w3 are both 500rms at 2 ohms

btw I found three 10" w3's in a box powered by a jl 1000x1
