I loved it when my box slid over my amp somehow but didn't crush it. that was fun opening my trunk one day and seeing that. All my crap is secured down now. Lucky I didn't break the god dam amp.

i would bolt it down anyways, safety should be priority number 1. In the event you slam your breaks hard your box wont come flying at you or if your cover were to be in a roll over accident, your sub wont be all over the place

Plus he never keeps his system the same more than 3-4 days before he takes the BTL out and puts his 12's in or takes the T1 and puts it in a different vehicle, etc etc...

amps are bolted to seat backs with these:

with nuts tac welded inside the seat back frame...

sub box is bolted to the trunk/cargo area floor using THESE:

then the sub is bolted into the box with these:

for the 20 bucks i spent on hardware, i hope it goes nowhere

Just get some big self tappers and call it a day...

Your using self tapping sheet metal screws to hold a 200lb box to the trunk floor? If you get into a wreck, those won't last. Get some serious bolts holding 'er down.

Anyone stupid enough to use self tappers is a weak link in the human race. Due to liberal thinking we normally have to help these weak links. Totally screwing up Darwin's theory of evolution. My box isn't bolted down but I have 90 degree brackets screwed down in place so that it wont slide.
