I've got 4ga wire (100amp inline fuse) running to an a fuse block which has an 80 amp fuse and a 50 amp fuse. The 50 amp fuse is running to an Alpine MRP-F240, and the 80 amp fuse is running to the Audioque 2200, all via 8ga wire. . I have the system set up and it hits, but I can tell it's not getting NEARLY enough power. Gains are set via DMM. No big 3.
Could the lack of power be damaging the amp? Should I be running 0ga wire with a 200amp inline fuse straight to the AQ? What's the best way to set this up properly, so both of my amps can get power properly? I have a 120 amp alternator and stock battery. Plan on doing big 3 if I run 0ga wire. How much power gain are we really talking about? I tested the voltage of the speaker outputs on the amplifier and they read 43V (@1ohm). Is that what I should be running for my HDC312?
Thanks for the help.
