Hall of fame?

He admitted a two year use of steroids from 2001 -2003. He also hit 50 homeruns 3 times sense then, so it is obvious his numbers did spike due to steroid use. Do you think his legacy is tarnished? I guess his home run record in a few years will be looked at the same way as bonds also, pujols is the next legit home run champion.

i am shocked about this. I say no though since he did use them.

His legacy is no more tarnished than the other 50% of players who have used steroids in the last 10-15 years. As far as I'm concerned, he outperformed his contemporaries and that is the important condition to get into the HoF since it is impossible to compare eras.

Idk to be honest.... Yes, he cheated and if he is being honest about it only being from 01-03... you can still subtract those 3 years and he'll still have HOF quality numbers.

He's one of the greatest players to ever play the game regardless of roids or not.

It wasnt against the rules of major league baseball to use performance enhancing drugs when he tested positive. Though morally and legally he broke the law, he was within the rules of the game so therefore any record attained should remain valid.

I think it's incredibly unfair that the other 103 players get to remain anonymous.

Who cares about baseball anymore? Anyone good these days is a drug addict anyway...

But, to answer your question. Absolutely not. He is a pathetic excuse for a athlete. Anyone can cheat...and he sucked at that too. Idiot got caught.

He hit 40/110 at .316 before he went to Texas and started. Obviously he is a great excuse for an athlete.

It's just too bad the steroids didn't help him in the playoffs.

well, baseball fans do care. I am really shocked that he did this. It's funny how he averaged 52 homeruns during the years he said he used steroids too. I think it is only fair for him to not get in the hall of fame if guys like palmerio and mccguire can't get in. I never thought he used them though, i can't believe this.

he also averaged 52 homers during his steroid years, 11 more homeruns per year is a rediculous increase when you are already hitting 40+

I think pujols is a steroid freak.

how is it that its legitimate for tiger woods to correct his vision to 20/15 with lasik eye surgery to improve his golf game, but using steroids is cheating? not to mention, people use cortisone shots every day in sports, and those are steroids ....

is it cynical of my to think the number is much higher than that?

because steroids help you recover from injuries very quickly and allow you to put on weight very fast.
you should look up what cortisone shots do.

tiger woods spends thousands correcting his vision so that its better than perfect, and in a game where depth perception is so important there is nothing unfair about this? a performance enhancement is a performance enhancement, no?
