Just got 2 Alpine swr-1041Ds and am planning on running them with a kenwood 7251 (I realize this is very low level wattage, but I had this assumption that by giving the subs just enough power to meet the rms, that I would in turn help regulate the volume even more, as I would like to maintain a certain level of hearing for at least a few more years) the amp puts out 230x2 at 2ohms and 150x2 at 4, and the subs will be going into a bandpass box, all laughter aside, it has 1.5 cubic in the sealed and 1 cubic in the ported section, so my questions revolve around the subs and the amp, what sort of sound can I expect from this sort of setup, and is the level of power coming from the amp sufficient, in reference to the 2 or 4 ohms, will the type's be able to operate with a 2ohm load or do they require the 4ohms? Thanks for the help, as this is my first foray into any sort of sub usage.

You're just going to want to wire the coils in series and then parallel the woofers, presenting a 4 ohm load. Then bridge the amp and you'll get 460x1 (so 230w per sub).
