Hi everyone, look I might be making a fool of myself, but I wanted to give a crack at doing this audio system myself. Currently have an aftermarket subwoofer and Monoblock amp already installed and working, but I’m now upgrading the front stage with a 4-channel amp and DSP.

I am kinda confused about the wiring sizes and wanted to confirm if this electrical diagram setup is ok. Lucky for me I got the subwoofer installed professional so I can follow kinda get some pointers from it. I am also confused on what distribution blocks to get. Any feedback or advice would be much appreciated.

My Planned Setup:

Head Unit: Factory luxury Navi HU (staying stock)

DSP: Hertz H8 DSP

Monoblock AMP: Morel MPD 1.500 Monoblock AMP

Subwoofer: Hertz MP 300D4.3 12 subwoofer.

4 channel AMP: Pioneer GM-D8704 (for front components)

Front speakers: Planning to run full active with Hertz MPK 165.3 Pro front stage

Rear speakers: MPX 165.3 left on HU unit

Distribution block connected too battery via fused 4AWG ( not sure what size of wire to use)

Mini Fuse tap for ACC to turn on DSP



Wiring Diagram:

DSP Power Connected to fuse tap near glovebox.

DSP Ground: Shared grounding block with both amps, secured to bare chassis point.

Power for amps and DSP: From distribution block connected to battery

Remote Turn-On DSP REM OUT - both amps REM IN (split or daisy chained).

Speaker Input (high level): I’ll tap Front L+R speaker wires from stock amp at the boot and feed them into DSP HIGH INPUT harness.

RCA Outputs:

DSP CH1 & CH2 - 4ch Amp CH1 & CH2 (Tweeters)

DSP CH3 & CH4 - 4ch Amp CH3 & CH4 (Midbass)

DSP CH7 & CH8 - Monoblock Amp L+R RCA IN (Subwoofer)

For the distribution block connected to the battery, using 4 AWG wire is a good choice, especially since you're going to connect multiple components. The power wire from the battery to the distribution block should be 4 AWG.

For the power output from the distribution block to each amp, you can typically use 8 AWG wire. This is generally sufficient for your 4-channel and monoblock amps. If your amps require more current draw (check their specifications), consider using 6 AWG instead.

Yeah, i think i might just use a 6AWG just in case for the power output for the amps. Do you have any advice for the distribution blocks, which ones to get and what to look for?

You may experience a time delay on the fronts with the rears running off the HU.

That aint gonna cut it - won;t keep up even for negligable rear fill. Get yourself a small two channel or inexpensive decent 4 channel and beidge it to tthe rears. Split the imput to the DSP, run a sperate line to another amp or just replace the GM-D8704 with this!

Surely, they would be alright for negligible rear fill. I'll look into getting a small 2 channel amp then. Are there any guides or already made wiring diagrams for 3 amps, and dsp???

One or the other pair, will not be on the dsp if powered by the hu.

All you have to do is get signal to the rear amp using the rear speaker leads on that little amp.

Unless you're set on the hertz, this is a better amplied DSP option all the way around 100x12 and 12 DSP poutput channels as well.

Yes, 15-20 from a HU won't cut the mustard.

Probably not because the signal is actually delayed by the DSP.
