For the plate amp for the sub, should I set the gains like the gains on a car amplifier?

I have a dd 8". Is about 1 cube after disp good? And where should the port be firing?

And where should the port be firing?

Wherever's convienent. The same plane as the sub works, as well as firing it out the back.

Are you downfiring the 8"? That might be a way to get the most out of the smaller driver, output wise...

Hmm I havent thought of downfiring.

For now Ill just do forward firing. I might change it later though
